We recently completed an exciting upgrade for a lovely property in Oldbury, giving the front of the home a fresh, modern makeover with new white uPVC bay windows and porch combination French doors. This project not only boosted the aesthetics of the property but also improved energy efficiency, security, and natural lighting inside the home.
Before: A Tired-Looking Porch Area

As seen in the before photo, the previous setup featured an outdated entrance door with signs of wear and weathering. The original frames were discoloured, the structure lacked symmetry, and the glazing was no longer performing at its best. The entryway felt boxed in, offering minimal light and less visual impact from the street.
After: A Beautifully Framed Entrance with Elegant French Doors

The transformation is clear. The new arched porch design with white uPVC French doors perfectly follows the original curve of the brickwork while adding a contemporary finish. The glass panels on both sides and the semi-circular top light allow for more natural light to flood into the hallway. Polished chrome handles and a modern letterbox complete the stylish update.
Key features of the new porch doors:
Made from high-quality white uPVC
Arched design to fit the existing brickwork feature
Double-glazed for improved thermal performance
Multi-point locking for enhanced security
Sleek chrome hardware for a polished look
Bay Window Upgrade for the Living Area
We also replaced the front-facing bay window with a stunning new white uPVC bay window system. Designed with energy-efficient double glazing and modern frames, the result is a much cleaner, brighter, and more symmetrical appearance from both outside and inside the home.
Bay window highlights:
Chamfered white uPVC profiles
Large central fixed pane with side-opening casements
Fitted with secure, easy-to-operate hinges
Improved sound insulation and thermal performance
Stylish yet sympathetic to the character of the property
Why This Upgrade Matters
Replacing old windows and doors isn’t just about looks – it can dramatically:
Increase home security
Reduce heat loss and energy bills
Enhance kerb appeal
Allow more natural daylight
Improve ventilation and comfort
