Roof outside:
Structure of roof is made from 8×2 treated timber.
Ply lined.
Breathable felt is then wrapped around.
We then use a 3 mineral felt system on the roof which comes with a 10 year guarantee.
On a flat roof, there will be a slight slant to enable run off of water.
Fascia soffit and guttering is also installed onto the roofline.
Traditionally, the three layers used in this process are a vapour control sheet, reinforced felt and a cap sheet with mineral finish. Using three layers of felt is required by building regulations for habitable areas of a home.
This type of roofing is only available on a pitched roof, not a flat roof. This is an optional finish, which we can quote for.
Structure outside:
Timber frame which consists of pressure treated 4×2 timber is erected all the way round.
Whole structure is then ply lined.
Then wrapped in a breathable felt.
20mm Vapour barrier to prevent damp and ensure air flow though cavities.
This is then cladded on top.
Cedar wood cladding – can be vertical or horizontal installed
Log Roll finish – can be stained or treated to achieve desired colour/tint
Log Roll finish – can be stained or treated to achieve desired colour/tint
Composite cladding – synthetic alternative to timber – this is at an extra cost
Structure inside:
Will be insulated with celotex for extra warmth. This will be all around the structure.
Once this is installed, there will be plasterboard on top secured to the structure.
You can then have an option of having this plastered and then painted
Doors and windows:
Included in the price we will install 2 windows with openers along with a set of French doors all in the REHAU70 profile
These come in either white, anthracite grey, or black/brown.
