“It’s amazing how the right choice of windows and doors can transform not just a property’s appearance, but its comfort, security, and energy performance too.”
That was the case with our latest project, where we replaced aged woodgrain-effect uPVC windows and French doors with modern white uPVC units that gave the entire property a brighter, cleaner, and more contemporary look — inside and out.
Before: Woodgrain Charm, But Outdated Features
Our clients had original uPVC casement windows and French doors in a traditional woodgrain finish, most likely Rosewood or Mahogany which offered classic appeal at the time. However, over the years, wear and tear had started to show, and the insulation performance was no longer up to standard.

Window Details (Before):
Material: uPVC (Unplasticised Polyvinyl Chloride)
Colour/Finish: Woodgrain effect likely Rosewood or Mahogany
Front Window Style: Bay window with side-opening casements and a fixed central panel
Rear Window Style: Standard casement with one side opener and one fixed pane
Door Details (Before):
Type: uPVC French doors
Colour/Finish: Matching the window finish woodgrain Rosewood or Mahogany
Brand: REHAU a high-quality German profile system, still visible via the protective tape at the start of installation
While these units had served well, it was time for a modern refresh to enhance curb appeal and energy efficiency.
During: Careful Removal & Precision Installation
Our team carried out the removal process with care, ensuring that brickwork, plaster, and finishes around the openings remained intact. We also verified all openings and tolerances to ensure the new units would fit perfectly, reducing the risk of air gaps or cold bridging.
We installed:
New bay windows at the front, crafted for improved thermal performance and a cleaner finish
Tilt and turn windows for the rear, offering both easy ventilation and secure night-time airflow
New uPVC French doors, perfectly aligned and secure, allowing more light into the space and improving garden access
All frames were expertly sealed, insulated, and finished to the highest standards, inside and out.

After: A Brighter, Cleaner Look with High-Performance White uPVC
The transformation speaks for itself. The new white uPVC window and door units have given the property a completely refreshed aesthetic. The clean lines and neutral finish complement any exterior design and immediately modernise the home.
