Below are some of the sectors Gary has worked in during his time as an Installer.
Retail to residential
The conversion of a former NatWest bank into a residential dwelling.
Due to the age and design of the building, the original facade needed to replicate the original window designs. This encompassed a mix of straightforward casement windows and a number of quite complex art deco bows and bays and internal window boards. All were installed and finished to an exceptionally high standard with no snags and completed on time..
NHS residential care and supported living
Gary has installed countless projects in this sector. Everything from elderly care homes, psychiatric hospitals, vulnerable tenants in social housing and supported living accommodation. Again, all work was carried out professionally to a very high standard working in what is a very sensitive and demanding environment. This was completed without complaint and Gary was always willing to go the extra mile to get the job done.
MOD
Gary headed up his teams as lead installer refurbishing the offices at the helicopter training school at RAF Shawbury. Installing new windows and doors with acoustic glazing on base and airside he was the first person that came to mind for the role.
Fire door installations
Gary played a key part of G L Glazing’s return to this sector. Following the Grenfell disaster, all fire door systems had to undergo extensive re-evaluation and testing. Prior to this return to the market he was the installer of choice for test installations and indeed the first live contract when returning to this sector, primarily because of his attention to detail, skills and attitude.
